Why can’t life be as easy as when we were children?
The difference between childhood and adulthood is Copernicus.
For a while, we believed we were the centre of the universe. We believed that the sun and stars and planets revolved around us. Then came along Copernicus and that bubble burst. we started to learn how things truly worked: That the sun was the centre; that the universe did not go around us, but that we were a small freckle in the dark canvas of existence; that there was a force called gravity that kept you grounded; that the while the universe was expanding, you stayed the same, and thus were shrinking in comparison. Also, this is why my wife thinks I must not be allowed around children.
