Thoughts on 'What happens after death?'
Death is hard to understand, especially if you are alive.
But what I hope happens after death is we realise that ‘life’ was merely the training period for what we call ‘death’. That this life has been the infant phase of death. Like we learn to walk and talk before we learn to dodge taxes, perhaps once people ‘die’, we realise our true potential.
This might also be why the dead don’t return to fill us in – because who remembers their infancy? If we did, we would be way nicer to our mothers.
